As we begin our approach the end of summer, at least those of us here down under, it's time for me to give you something back. Due to the incredible support that I have received from each and every one of you, I'd like to give you all the chance to purchase something from my store at a significant discount. It's time for me to clear some of my catalog and post some fresh work so I'm offering 40% off every single item in my webstore. Yes, you read that right, 40%.Read More
During the week I received a request from one of my readers to publish a copy of the article 'Slow Down' that I wrote for Light and Landscape magazine (issue 6). I realise not all of you have an iPad so for those of you who were unable to view the article, I've posted some screenshots of the article below for you all to read.
I'd just like to point you in the direction of Light and Landscape magazine where an article of mine has just been published in the latest issue (issue 6). Light and landscape magazine is a free to download, iPad only magazine for all things related to landscape photography and more.
I was recently invited to submit an article by Matt (the editor). The article is called 'Slow Down' and it discusses the topic of slowing down and shooting less frames. The idea being that you consider your subject or scene and produce more higher quality frames by taking the time to get it right first time.
The magazine is still in its infancy but the standard of work, both photography and written pieces is very good, so if you like photography and you like landscapes then I urge you to have a look at it. Here's a handy link.
Take care and enjoy the article,
One of my recent photographs (Shorncliffe Pier) has been featured in the "Reader's gallery" of InFocus Australasia magazine, issue 21. InFocus is a magazine created and distributed by the excellent Sydney based commercial photographer, Ben Hosking. The magazine is created especially for the iPad so if you are interested in having a look then you can do so by clicking this LINK and downloading the latest issue.
Well it feels like it's been a while since I've last shared some of my work with you so it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to my latest body of work.
Recently, as you may or may not be aware, I made the trip back over to the UK to marry my lovely partner. The wedding was unbelievable and a day that will never be forgotten. I also spent some time travelling around the country to visit my friends and family. During my travels I managed to spend some time photographing some of the beautiful and not so beautiful places that I visited along the way. This collection of photographs is called "Urban Landscapes of The UK" and begins in my favourite of the UK cities, Norwich. My homepage will direct you to the lovely, but slightly wet Norwich. From here you can access any of the other places by clicking/tapping the "Urban Landscapes" title bar. You have four to choose from, all in the order by which I visited. Norwich, Liverpool, Chester and Southport. I hope you enjoy the photographs and feel free to let me know what you think by contacting me here or on my social media.
Another short but sweet update. i've been making a couple of small changes to the website recently in order to make it a touch easier for you to contact me. There is now a contact form on the "About" page of my website which will take your messages directly through to my email inbox.
Due to a few requests I've expanded my social media offerings to now include instagram. you can find me under the username "theotherjamespartridge" or by clicking the instagram icon at the bottom of any page on my website.
Last thing for now is a big welcome to all of the new followers on my facebook, twitter and the website. Please continue to submit any questions or suggestions as you have been and I'll be happy to assist!
